I remember my mother gently singing, “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so,” while I was learning English as a child. That simple, tender melody has stayed with me ever since. Years later, after wandering in the wilderness and wrestling through seasons of unbelief that culminated in leaving behind old affections, I heard that same tune again, this time from my seminary professor. Sinclair Ferguson was teaching a class on adoption, expositing Romans 8, and his tears deeply moved me. In that moment, I sensed a clear call to ministry, stirred by a passion for missions and the gospel’s power to reach the lost. I long for the day when I can sing that same song to our little ones.
I grew up in South Korea and Brazil and studied at Mackenzie and Yonsei Universities for College. I had a legal career before coming to faith in Jesus and often served in children’s ministries. After graduating with an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary, I began a pastoral internship at New Life Dresher, where I discerned a call to youth ministry. Today, I serve as the Jr. High Coordinator, where I labor to faithfully support the Associate Pastor of Emerging Generations, Dave Hopping, and pray for our students to know Jesus and make Him known.
On days of rest, you’ll find me exploring libraries, playing board games, or delighting in God’s creation with my bride.
