Women’s Retreat 2021 Art

filligree

The 2021 Women’s Retreat took place at New Life Dresher on May 14 & May 15.  Our theme for the retreat was “Songs of Solace and Sorrow: Life Stories Told through the Psalms.”

Project Overview

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”
-Colossians 3:2-3

For this project, women were asked to start with their name written out on a blank sheet (left picture above). This would be used as the basis for their designs, with the object being for their names to become completely hidden within their art—a reflection of us being hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3).

Look for the names Tracy, Cindy, Beth, Lona, Meg, Elaine, Joanne, Lisa, and Kirsten in the pictures below.

To those still working on their designs, feel free to send them to Linda Ruth Paskell (lindarpm@verizon.net) once completed so we can post them here!
