Special Needs
Special Needs/ Disabilities Ministry

At New Life Dresher, we welcome all children and adults, including those with special needs and disabilities. We recognize that church can sometimes be a challenging place for families navigating developmental delays, learning differences, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, or other unique needs. But at the heart of everything we do is the love of Jesus — a love that embraces every person fully and unconditionally. Just as Jesus made space for everyone, we strive to reflect His compassion and care by creating a welcoming and supportive environment for anyone with special needs.
Please contact Amy Gill, our special needs coordinator, at amy.gill@newlifedresher.org to discuss how we can best serve you and your child’s needs.

Respite Night
We also provide monthly Respite Nights for families impacted by disability. Respite Night is open to our entire community! You don’t need to be a member of our church to attend. We will meet monthly from October – May. We host a night of fun for children with disabilities and their families so that parents can have some much-needed rest and refreshment. Please contact Amy Gill for information about participation or volunteer opportunities.
Prayer Group
We provide a bi-monthly time of prayer for families and caregivers of kids and/or adults with special needs and disabilities. We meet the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month during the school year in the upstairs lobby of New Life Dresher.

Sunday Mornings
To support the unique needs of children within our congregation, we offer one-on-one buddies during Children’s Church, Sunday School, and KIM/CIM programs. These trained volunteers help ensure that every child can participate safely and meaningfully alongside their peers in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Additionally, we currently offer an adult class during the sermon portion of the second service. This class provides a developmentally appropriate Bible study and time of fellowship for participants, while also giving their caregivers the opportunity to attend the worship service with peace of mind and encouragement.
