Our History
The Gospel is the Main Thing
We are applying the good news of Jesus life, death and resurrection in practical deeds of love and service. Inwardly, we are building a community centered on Jesus through discipleship and mutual care. Outwardly, we serve under His leadership to bring about the renewal of all things as we interact with our local area and the world.
Throughout our church history we have shared Christ with others in word and deed and drawn them into our fellowship. At the same time, Jesus has led us to a strong commitment to world missions. Over the years, we have partnered with many missionaries and their church planting and mercy projects.
A History of Growth
From New Life Fort Washingtons beginning in 1987 as a daughter church of the then Jenkintown New Life congregation, we have always had a strong emphasis on the way Gods unmerited grace changes us and changes the world around us as we reach out. We grew quickly and our members and friends come from the local area and the larger region. We have assisted in the birth of several sister churches over the years.
Today and Heading into the Future
Meanwhile, we’ve been on a location pilgrimage. Our first building was in Fort Washington. Growth pushed us to re-locate to rented space at Philmont Christian Academy in Erdenheim. Finally we purchased property and constructed our own building in Dresher where weve been since 2006. While the locations have changed our desire is the same: to share the gospel of Jesus Christ here and around the world. Today, we are “keeping the main thing the main thing” as we reach out to a needy world, expressing our faith through love.
