Adult School of Discipleship
Adult School of Discipleship equips, trains and mobilizes our community for ministry. Classes are centered on Biblical teaching, provide opportunities for spiritual gifts to be used in ministry, and enable people to reach out to others and welcome them into the church body. We want participants to grow in their knowledge of God’s gracious work toward humanity, trained to apply the Scriptural teaching to their lives, and encouraged to act as Christ’s servants through a growing love and commitment for God and others in the world.
Sundays, 10:00 am-11:00 am
Eyewitness
Auditorium | Various Teachers | June 16 – August 18
Did you ever know someone who had an interaction with someone famous (or infamous)? You want to know what that person was really like: Were they as great as we thought? Were they as beautiful in person? Did they talk like a ‘normal’ human being? Consider if it was Jesus whom they had met. Now the questions really come flowing out: Is He real? Can He do all He claims? Did you see the scars? Does He really love me that much? This summer in ASOD we will be hearing accounts of many in the Scriptures who had a personal encounter with Jesus, and whose world was never the same. Join us as we dig into their stories, using the book Encounters with Jesus by Tim Keller. May the One who met them likewise meet us, and may our worlds never be the same.
Prayer Meeting
Room 101 | Various Elders
Our Lord said, “Ask, and it shall be given to you.” Come, knock on the gates of heaven together, and ask for God’s kingdom to come. Open to all.
