At New Life, we believe that every Christian is responsible for taking the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) seriously. All believers are called to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that through His death and resurrection, we are reconciled to God and enter into a personal relationship with Him.
Presently, about 20% of our annual church budget goes to the support of missionaries and ministries. These include 29 long term missionaries and ten outreach ministries in the US and foreign countries. Throughout the year, these ministries and missionaries are highlighted during the normal worship services. Missions Moments increase awareness of our missionaries and outreach ministries and assist us in knowing how to better support and pray for them.
The missions committee encourages and supports short-term missions trips. In the past, teams and individuals have gone to many different places including Central America, South America, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, North Africa, Asia, Ukraine, and Uganda.
As individuals we are called to be in relationship with people outside the "Church" - family members, neighbors, coworkers and friends. In our relationships, we should be "salt and light," always ready with an answer for the hope that we have. As a larger body, we are committed to hosting several special events each year, providing opportunities for members to invite friends and family.
