The Adoption Community Group at NLD seeks to love, support, encourage, equip, and pray for families in the church and community formed through adoption.
ASOD is an hour on Sunday mornings when the adults gather all together to study God’s Word and what it teaches about life and doctrine, and to pray together. While some classes work through a book of the Bible, others emphasize practical aspects of life, and others emphasize doctrine, in all of them we sit at the feet of Christ to shape our minds and hearts according to his Word.
The Audio Visual ministry helps create a worshipful environment for the church body through servant volunteers running sound, arranging visuals, and overseeing live stream services.
This team prepares the elements for communion before the second Sunday of each month, and cleans up afterwards. Teams of two or three persons rotate throughout the year.
Children’s ministry at New Life is dedicated to providing safe, secure environments where children, from newborn to fifth grade, can learn about the promises of God in Jesus Christ and how to share Jesus with others. Our desire is to disciple our children in the faith, and our curriculum emphasizes the grace of Jesus Christ for all the needs in our lives.
The Coffee Hour ministry seeks to serve our church body and visitors by providing coffee and tea each Sunday morning. This includes set up, making several urns of coffee (provided by Grounds for Restoration), filling hot water containers, overseeing the tables as people serve themselves and clean up.
The Food Pantry ministry at NLD serves those in our congregation and some in our community who are in need of support with weekly food contributions. It is an entirely volunteer based ministry, with more than 60 volunteers serving each month.
The Greeting Ministry is the first impression that members and newcomers experience at NewLife Church each Sunday morning. Those serving as greeters are commissioned to welcome each person as they arrive on Sunday morning with friendship, hospitality, and a smiling face.
Grief Share is a ministry that helps you navigate loss and grief through a safe and caring support group that includes helpful videos from people who have experienced loss, small group discussion among others who understand what you are experiencing as well as a guide book for journaling and personal study. The 13 week GriefShare session topics address common struggles of those facing loss and grief providing encouragement, direction and insight to manage emotions in the grief process.
Home Groups are small gatherings of individuals and families which meet throughout the week to study God’s Word, pray, and care for one another. These gatherings allow for people to develop deep relationships as they walk through life together, helping one another follow Christ.
Lifeline is a community of courageous men who are prayerfully pursuing sexual integrity, through a closer and more authentic walk with God, and with each other.
Through the power of the Gospel, the NLD Marriage Ministry Team seeks to celebrate, strengthen, transform, bring hope and intentionality to all marriages by providing education, support, connection and resources that tangibly express the love, acceptance, and forgiveness of our Savior.
The Men’s Ministry seeks to cultivate a culture of discipleship among men at New Life Dresher. There are a number of formal Men’s Ministry events throughout the year which are designed to equip men to disciple others, such as mini-seminars, Bible studies, and a retreat, but the real meat of the Men’s Ministry happens by men discipling one another in small men’s groups.
Care is offered in one of five regional communities that are determined by the school districts where people live. Each region has a team of elders, deacons, womens caregivers, home group leaders and others who work together to provide congregational care for our church.
Sister Care is a ministry of NLD where a group of mature, Godly women have been trained to come alongside women in crisis to offer short term support and encouragement while pointing them to Jesus.
Our Special Needs ministry is committed to ensuring that ALL individuals who attend our church have a place to belong in the body of Christ. We provide modifications and support as needed for children, young adults, and adults impacted by disability or special needs to thrive as an indispensable part of our church.
The Chair Team Ministry is usually unseen, but essential for Sunday’s worship each week. Rotating teams prepare the auditorium for worship by setting up chairs among other tasks and then perform “take down” after worship for the following week’s ministries. They usually set up in under an hour on Saturday mornings. Any healthy individual who wants to help is welcome, and sometimes families work together.
Women’s Ministry is a ministry of New Life Dresher that seeks to help women grow together in faith in Jesus Christ, the knowledge of His Word and in love for one another. We offer a women’s Bible study, weekly prayer and a women’s retreat each spring.
At the heart of our Worship Ministry is a gospel-centered approach, where we focus on the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and the life-transforming power of His love. Our worship services are crafted to reflect the themes of Creation, Fall, Redemption, & Restoration, engaging both the mind and the heart as we explore the depth and breadth of God’s grace through both hymns and contemporary worship songs.
Young Adults is a gospel-centered ministry that shepherds those who are college and post-college age through discipleship, bible study, outreach, and fellowship.
In our NLD youth ministry, we seek to be a Youth Group focused on being a place where students can know Jesus and grow in their faith. We also seek to be not just a ministry to our youth, but a ministry of our youth.
