Busy Brains Homework
The Busy Brains Homework Help program is a service to the Upper Dublin Community, offering free tutoring designed to complement the school district’s goal of educating and challenging students to become life-long learners.
Busy Brains Homework Help is a comfortable and safe place for children to receive one hour per week of free homework assistance. In addition to homework, tutors address some of the following areas, as requested by parents and teachers: ELL (English Language Learner), reading comprehension, phonics, special school projects and math.
Tutoring takes place in the church building’s education wing and comfortable space is available for parents to wait if they wish. Snacks are provided for students and parents.
The church building is conveniently located near the intersection of Limekiln Pike and Susquehanna Road.
Tutors are volunteers from New Life Presbyterian Church of Dresher. Each tutor is assigned to an individual student to promote continuity throughout the school year. All tutors are caring adults with child protection clearances. Tutoring is supervised.
In the case of tutor absence, a substitute is available (if requested in advance by the student’s caregiver).
