Worship is central to what we do at New Life, because worship is central to the life of any Christian. Jesus said that the Father seeks “true worshipers” who will worship Him in “Spirit and in Truth” (John 4:23). To this end, the Worship Ministry exists to lead and support the body in the worship of God, primarily through music.
For the Christian, all of life is worship. We are never out of God’s presence, and everything we do is to be for God and His glory (1 Cor. 10:31). We are to offer up all of ourselves, and all that we do, to God (Rom. 12:1).
But Christians are also called to come together regularly in order to worship God through “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,” (Eph. 5:19-20; Col. 3:16-17) and through the hearing of the Word of God through preaching and teaching.
