What is an RSS feed?
RSS feeds provide a simple way for you to keep updated automatically on websites you are interested in. Instead of you having to visit a website to see if they've written a new article or feature, you can use RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds to get them to tell you every time they have something new.

What do I need to do in order to use an RSS feed?
You will need to get hold of a software program called a 'News Reader'. This displays RSS feeds from your chosen websites on your computer. Usually you will see a headline, brief description, and a link to the full article. There are many News Readers available to download from the web or use online. Just add the above rss url to your news reader and you will automatically receive the updates.

What is a Podcast?
Think of a podcast as a radio show. Each show consists of a series of individual episodes that you can listen to how you want — on your PC, using your MP3 player, or with just a web browser. You can listen to these episodes one at a time (say using your web browser) or you can 'subscribe' to the entire podcast series using software on your PC. When you subscribe to a podcast, all new shows will be automatically downloaded to your computer as they are published. And if you have an MP3 player, the next time you sync your device, your podcasts will be downloaded for listening on the go.
