Children's Ministry: Discipleship of our children

"...from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus...that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" II Timothy 3:15, 16b

Chidren's Ministry Values

  1. Partner with parents in the nurture and discipleship of their children in the Lord by providing a variety of ministries that aid them in this process during their early parenting years.
  2. Train and equip caring adults and teenagers to minister effectively to children and model godly Christian values for them.
  3. Guide children to faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  4. Instruct and disciple them in their Christian walk, seeking their growth in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  5. Model for children and their parents dynamic Christian relationships in the body of Christ, where adults and children learn and serve together in meaningful ministries in our community.
  6. Provide opportunities for children to be a contributing part of our church through prayer, missions, community outreach, and service in Jesus' name.

School of Discipleship

The School of Discipleship is offered during the adult Sunday School hour. The purpose for the School of Discipleship is to show God's character and love for people through memorizing verses, interacting with Bible stories, singing and praying. Parents are encouraged to partner with us as we teach their children the truths of Scripture.

 

Chidren's Church

Children's Church is available during both of the Sunday morning services. The vision behind Children's Church is that children are included in the covenant community and are welcome to worship Christ in a manner that best communicates their love and devotion. Worship for Children includes Bible readings, singing, praying, and play.

 

Explorer Girls & Team Kids/Tree Climbers

Leaders invest in the lives of children through games, lessons, and crafts. Activities include outreach opportunities, sleepovers, and family events. Kids will earn rewards for learning life skills.

 

Backyard Bible Club

A Backyard Bible Club is a mini-in-your-home Vacation Bible School for your children and their playmates. Backyard Bible Clubs are great because they bring you and your children in close contact with other families that live in your neighborhood. What a valuable outreach tool for you to use!
