LOVE these pictures. Have been likoong for pictures to use at a CSSM (summer Bible club) in Northern Ireland to tell the story of the unmerciful servant to little ones. Love the bright, clear pictures on this site. Thanks very much

Sometimes as United Methodist we are afraid to rpxeess ourselves emotionally during service. It seems so baptist (smile). However, I grew up in the African Methodist Church, so I'm used to a generous amount of Amens and say it Pastor . I have been an UMC member for over 20 years and have yet to match the number of amens I use to say in one year. That is very sad to me. After reading this sermon though I am going to start letting God again know when his word touches me, folks liking it or not. Thank you!

I came across this quote and thought it might indirectly relate to what we are discussing. It is a great quote either way....

“There is much emphasis on notoriety and fame in our society. Our newspapers and television keep giving us the message: What counts is to be known, praised, and admired, whether you are a writer, an actor, a musician, or a politician. Still, real greatness is often hidden, humble, simple, and unobtrusive. It is not easy to trust ourselves and our actions without public affirmation. We must have strong self-confidence combined with deep humility. Some of the greatest works of art and the most important works of peace were created by people who had no need for the limelight. They knew that what they were doing was their call, and they did it with great patience, perseverance, and love.” - Henri Nouwen
